My daughter has attended GymRep for the past 4 years, since she was 7 in fact. They do about 30 hours of gymnastics and bungee based trampolining over the course of six days. They are divided according to both age and ability, competing level etc. They tend to work up skills, and get to work stuff that they just don't do at gym.

Dorms are new and clean, older girls are divided from the younger girls, both in rooms and evening activities. Rooms sleep from 4 to 20 and you can choose roommates, they seem to do their best to accommodate all requests. The girls, it is an all girls camp, are well supervised, showers are taken, curfews are enforced.

Food is typical camp fodder, with a salad bars and fresh fruit thrown in.

Coaches are all well qualified. Most of the Gymnova equipment is new each year. The gym is outside in a barn like structure, with huge curtains to keep out the weather.

Outdoor and indoor activities are available every afternoon, my DD enjoys the water slides and pedaloes. But you can do anything from archery to necklace making.

The camp is based in the heart of the Quebec Laurentian/Lanaudiere region, on a lake, very beautiful.

Lots of camp songs and dances, camp shows, rituals and beach parties. My dd would spend her whole summer there if I'd let her. As it is two weeks are what she gets, this year her 7 year old sister will join her after wanting to go for so long.

Cost is about $600 CAD, with both group and family discounts available. Extra training is also available for a fee, but it is not worth it or necessary. The girls are kept very busy. Camp shop for junk food is open all week, and is a bit of a rip off. We send the girls with their own "junk" and juice for the week. Camp is strictly no nuts, no fish etc.

www.gymrep.com is the website address, though I see it is almost full for this year, you really do have to book very early to get the weeks you want.
